Privacy

Privacy is very important to me and my site operates within EU and UK legislation on the use of cookies.

For more information about cookies and deleting cookies see: All About Cookies

This website is based on the wordpress platform which uses cookies on your computer if you leave a comment. This is helpful so that you don’t need to re-type all your information each time you want to leave another comment. For more information about this see the WordPress support page.

I often add links to other pages in my posts, so do bear in mind that when you click those links you are visiting content not administered by me.

I also use a number of other external platforms to measure and administer the website:

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to measure how people interact with website. Google Analytics uses Cookies to “remember” what you have done on the website, like which pages and posts you have looked at.  Google Analytics does not store any personal information about users.

For more information see Google Analytics privacy document.

Survey Monkey

If you have carried out any of my surveys (Home Adaptations Survey or Accessible Toilet Survey), they were set up on the Survey Monkey website.  Survey Monkey does use cookies too and you can read their policies here.

Survey Monkey collects IP addresses of respondents, but provision of other personal information was optional for you to leave if you wished me to stay in touch with updates and information.  I have transferred any email addresses supplied in this way to a Mail Chimp mailing list (see below) which will enable you let me know if you wish to unsubscribe at any time.

Any information taken from the survey will always be anonymised before publishing or sharing with other parties.  I will not share any of the answers provided by any respondents who expressed for me not to do so.

Mail Chimp

I with the introduction of the new GDPR regulations (May 2018), I have set up a Mail Chimp account to enable me to manage a mailing list of people who wish to subscribe to my blog or receive updates about certain campaigns.  This list will be used for supplying information only, it will not be shared with other parties and will not be used for fundraising or selling purposes.  If you are subscribed to the list, you can edit your subscription information or unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any mailing list email.

You can view Mail Chimps privacy policies here.
